Virender Sehwag chose his top five batters of the event based on how well they played. After almost two months, the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will end on May 28. In the last two months, the ten companies have been in fierce competition, with some doing better than others. During the game, many batters put on great shows that made them stand out as the best. There have been times when teams fought to get over 140 runs, and other times when they easily got over 200 runs. Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are both good at chasing, with two and three hundreds, respectively, so far this season.
Suryakumar Yadav, Cameron Green, Venketesh Iyer, Harry Brook, and Heinrich Klaasen all made centuries to beat each other. Also, this was the first time that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Prabhsimran Singh, who had never played for their country before, both got hundreds in the same league.
“Mere 5 Pandavas. I didn’t choose a lot of starters because they get a lot of chances. Rinku Singh is the first hitter I think of. I don’t think you’d want to know why. Because a hitter has never won a game for his team by hitting five sixes in a row. Shivam Dube is the second player in the middle order. He has hit 33 sixes, giving him a strike rate of more than 160. “The last few seasons haven’t been anything special, but this year he came with a clear idea that he has to come and hit sixes,” Virender Sehwag told Cricbuzz.
“The third is a great way to start. I have to take his name because of how well he bats, which is very good. Yashasvi Jaiswal. The next one is SKY. I’m going to use Suryakumar’s Yadav name because he wasn’t proper. Even in the IPL, he didn’t do well at first, but then he got better. Last, there are so many that I can just flip a coin to choose anyone. But I’ll choose Klaasen, who bats in the middle of the order. “It’s rare for a foreign player to be able to hit well against spin and speed,” he said.
Three of the five players on Virender Sehwag’s list scored a hundred this season, and both KKR’s Rinku and CSK’s Dube did great things for their teams and helped them win important games.
Notably, Kohli and Gill were not on the list. Instead, the former India bowler named the players who were on the rise.
In terms of the game, the Gujarat Titans beat the Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2023 on Friday. This set up a match between the Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans in the final. Mohit Sharma took five wickets as GT held MI to 171 runs as they tried to reach 234 runs. Earlier, GT made 233/3 in 20 overs, with 129 runs scored by Shubman Gill off of 60 balls.
