During the current IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 season, the Rajasthan Royals have been playing fantastically. The Royals have won six of their last seven games, putting them atop the tournament points standings. The team recently defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in a historic victory at Eden Gardens.
Jos Buttler‘s valiant efforts helped the team win as they attempted to chase down a total of 224 runs. Buttler made sure that RR defeated KKR by two wickets by remaining undefeated at 107 runs.
After noticing RR’s outstanding showing, former England cricketer Eoin Morgan expressed his opinion, saying RR should try to continue their long-term success and hold onto their ranking.
Morgan was reported by India Today to have stated, “That would be suggested with the points table, but it’s actually extremely important the mentality that they take into the rest of the group stage games because, yes, they have 1 foot in the playoffs and really want to focus on the longevity of the performance and becoming an even more well-rounded side.”
Most likely, this isn’t the best group performance we’ve witnessed. Eoin Morgan
The former captain of England also mentioned how the Rajasthan Royals haven’t yet demonstrated a cohesive performance as a team, and if that changes in the next few games, the team’s chances of winning the championship would increase even more.

“The Royals’ collective performance has probably not been at its best. That they’ve just managed to emerge victorious struck me as a really lovely statement. Most nights, they have proven to be the superior dog in the fight,” Morgan remarked.
Another example of that is today, and it’s a really good quality to have. However, if you start to feel like you’re ahead of the game, complacency sets in and spreads throughout the camp, so it’s critical that they continue with the process going forward,” he continued
