Gaikwad has scored 1797 runs for CSK in 52 games, demonstrating his consistency and ability to perform at the highest level. Ruturaj has compiled 14 half-centuries and one century in the IPL to date, scoring runs at an average of 39.07. His overall batting average in the lucrative division has been 135.5 percent.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has replaced Gaikwad in the Indian squad as a reserve player ahead of the World Test Championship final. His longtime fiancée, Utkarsha Pawar, and he will soon be married. Ruturaj will not travel to England with the Indian team for the WTC final due to his marriage.
