We have beaten twice in Dubai, we aim to make it three: Haris Rauf

On Sunday, February 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan will take on India, who are in full swing, in a match that must be won. They are full of optimism and expectation for the Champions Trophy. Additionally, based on historical records and histories, the squad maintains its optimism and faith.

Before Friday’s practice at the ICC Academy, Pakistan’s bowler Haris Rauf stated, “We want to make it three after defeating India twice in Dubai.

We are prepared and confident for a fantastic competition.

After defeating India by five wickets in the 2022 Asia Cup Super Four stage and by a commanding 10-wicket margin in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Pakistan’s victory in Dubai is always a story to tell.

However, in ODIs, India has the advantage in all ICC events. The crushing loss to New Zealand on their home field has increased the pressure on Pakistan.

Rauf, who was fully aware of the outcomes, probably highlighted the team’s enthusiasm. “The past is the past. We are focusing on the India match, learning from our mistakes, and making sure they don’t happen again. We have to win to advance to the semifinals, so it’s a “do or death” game,” he remarked.

Rauf promised that the team’s morale is maintained in spite of the intense pressure that is present. “The lads are cheerful. In every area, including batting, bowling, and fielding, we shall give it our all. We are considering this as simply another match, so there is no additional pressure.

Although Pakistan’s speed attack has a solid track record, Rauf acknowledged that the pitch’s characteristics will be crucial. “The pitch may favor spin at times. We’ll evaluate the track and adjust our plans for each batsman,” he said.

Rauf dismissed all questions regarding his fitness after conceding 83 runs in his 10-over period against New Zealand. “I bowled all ten overs; you witnessed the match. I am in good physical condition.

With Saim Ayub skipping the competition and Fakhar Zaman deemed unfit following a fielding incident, Pakistan has suffered numerous injury setbacks. However, Rauf expressed disapproval of the training techniques. “Injuries occur. Even walking can cause injury. Unfortunately, the team is prepared and focused. Fans may anticipate an exciting game.
