Renowned rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off in a classic Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match on Friday, March 2 at Chennai’s historic MA Chidambaram Stadium.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad expressed his excitement for a tactical matchup with his long-time buddy and new RCB leader Rajat Patidar ahead of the tantalising match. After Patidar was named captain of the Bengaluru-based team, Gaikwad disclosed that he had sent him a message wishing him luck.
With Rajat (Patidar) as the new captain, I’m really looking forward to playing against RCB. I sent Rajat a note wishing him success as soon as they named him as the captain. Since we’ve been friends for a long time, we know each other rather well, and RCB has undoubtedly been one of the best teams. Every year since then, they have performed incredibly well,” Gaikwad told JioStar.
In addition, Gaikwad discussed the chance to face the great Virat Kohli, praising the veteran’s steady performances for both his team and his nation. Following the match against the Mumbai Indians, the Maharashtra batsman stated that RCB is the side that CSK is most looking forward to against.
