Tim David will be unavailable for the last league match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL) between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which will be played at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium.
Notably, RCB has already qualified for the playoffs and will look for a win to finish in the top two. Meanwhile, LSG hopes to finish their campaign on a high note with a victory in front of their home crowd.
Toss Update
RCB captain Jitesh Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first, citing that the team prefers to pursue in order to finish in the top two places. He also stated that bowler Josh Hazlewood will play in the IPL 2025 playoffs. Meanwhile, LSG captain Rishabh Pant stated that the team demonstrated flashes of their ability in the last encounter and will give their all in the final game.
Livingstone replaces David, Rathi comes back for LSG
For RCB, Liam Livingstone comes in as a replacement for Tim David, who sustained an injury in the previous match. Nuwan Thushara also replaces Lungi Ngidi, who left the team. As for LSG, Digvesh Rathi returns to the side after serving a one-match suspension, while Matthew Breetzke replaces Aiden Markram in the lineup.
