Prior to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) Match 11 on Sunday, March 30, former India great and Rajasthan Royals (RR) coach Rahul Dravid shown his everlasting commitment to his position. Notably, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the local team, RR, faced off in Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, their alternate home field.
Fans were struck speechless by Dravid’s performance of “The Wall” just before the game began. Both cricket analysts and supporters complimented his wheelchair-bound inspection of the pitch. The cricket community was abuzz after Ambati Rayudu made the statement while Sanjay Manjrekar and Rayudu were on TV.
Just as the IPL 2025 season was about to begin, the former world champion Indian head coach suffered a leg injury while participating in a local game in Bengaluru. He is currently recuperating from the injury. Both experts were shocked when they saw the video, which is currently trending on the internet, of Dravid rolling in his wheelchair to examine the 22-yard strip.
“My world is a bubble. I was unaware of Dravid’s injuries. How did he end up? Are you aware of that? What kind of harm to the leg? CFL, AFL—you mean that sort of thing happens, Ambati? In the knee, or most likely the ACL,” Manjrekar enquired of Rayudu.
“I’m focussing on the wheelchair.” Can he enter the square? In response to Manjrekar, Rayudu offered his astute comment.
Few people are like that, given the way Ambati’s brain functions. His batting was altered as a result. Rahul Dravid is this person. If he has committed, he will follow through regardless of the consequences. “You won’t find a better person than him,” Manjrekar summarised, complimenting his fellow expert’s astute remark. “He is a very good friend of mine.”
