The start date of the Women’s Premier League 2025 is set on Friday, February 14. Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Gujarat Giants Women, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women, and UP Warriorz Women will all be vying for the top prize.
As the reigning champions, RCB will be entering this eagerly awaited event. They had a bad first season, but they bounced back to win the coveted WPL in 2024. To win the trophy, they defeated DC by an eight-wicket margin.
Last year’s December auction included some intriguing selections from each of the five brands. The 2017 season is expected to be an incredible spectacle, with all the sides full with a mix of young, talented players and seasoned veterans. The Titans’ matchup with the Bengaluru-based team will kick off the season.
WPL 2025 Venues
There are four venues which will host games comprising the third edition of the WPL – Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
WPL 2025 Format
A total of 20 group-stage matches are set to be played. The five teams will play against each other twice during the league phase. The side which tops the points table will head straightaway to the final, while the teams finishing second and third will compete in the Eliminator to secure their place in the final.
