In the WPL 2025 match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and the Mumbai Indians Women on Tuesday, March 11, Ellyse Perry gave her team a much-needed respite by dismissing Nat Sciver-Brunt on the last delivery of the 15th over of the run-chase.
The off-cutter was not picked up by the threatening Sciver-Brunt, who was batting on 69. The inability to top-edge the ball high in the air caused the English all-rounder, who was preparing for a maximum, to lose her footing. Perry showed no signs of nervousness at all as he settled under the ball and willingly welcomed the high-pressure situation.
She can bat, she can bowl & she can catch (as well)! 😎

Will this be the turning point of the match? 🤔

The catch proved to be crucial as Bengaluru finished their WPL 2025 campaign with a nine-run victory. Prior to this game, they had just finished a five-game losing streak.
They were unable to advance directly to the competition final as a result of their loss against Mumbai.
Mandhana and Perry assist Bengaluru in reaching their 200-run goal.
Smriti Mandhana and Perry’s knocks were the only things that helped Bengaluru to a competitive total at the end of the first session. When facing the new ball, Mandhana appeared to have recovered from a period of weakness with the bat.
Perry accelerated her pace towards the conclusion of the innings, despite initially serving as Mandhana’s anchor. At the close of their innings, Georgia Wareham’s brilliant 31-run cameo gave the tourists just what they needed.
