Marnus Labuschagne, an Australian batter, is an avid student of the game, and his passion for Test cricket is no mystery. During the ongoing World Test Championship Final against India, however, the middle-order prodigy attracted attention due to his bizarre choice of undergarments.
Marnus Labuschagne, the top-ranked Test batsman in the world, faced significant challenges from the Indian bowlers, particularly Mohammed Siraj, at the start of his innings on the third day of the championship game. However, it was his eccentric selection of pants that made headlines.
The batsman’s trousers fell down during his batting innings, revealing his pants to commemorate Australia’s 4-0 victory over England in 2021-22. During the five-match series, photographs were taken of the Australian athletes celebrating their monumental victories.
The cricketer of South African descent was Australia’s second-leading run scorer in the 2021-22 Ashes, trailing only middle-order speedster Travis Head. His choice of trousers would have undoubtedly unsettled a few English cricketers, who are seeking redemption in the upcoming Ashes series.

Additionally, earlier in the day, when David Warner’s dismissal roused Labuschagne from his nap in the dressing room, he caused a social media uproar. After a difficult start, he settled in at the crease, thwarting the Indian bowlers late in the day.
On the fourth day, however, the 28-year-old had little influence, as he left without adding to his overnight total. Despite his dismissal, Australia is in a strong position and is the frontrunner to defeat India and win their first WTC title.
