Tickets for the highly anticipated match between South Africa and Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025 at Lord’s will go on sale starting at 3:30 PM (IST) on January 31, according to an announcement made by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
ICC Family members and other priority fans will have first dibs on tickets during a 48-hour priority window that opens at 3:30 PM (IST) on January 29.
At worldtestchampionship.com, tickets for the Ultimate Test start at £45 (about INR 4854) for adults and £15 (approximately INR 1618) for Under-16s (GBP).
Beginning on January 31, premium hospitality packages will also be offered, with daily rates starting at £349 + VAT (about INR 37,651).
With two legendary rivals facing off in a week-long celebration of the longest format, the Ultimate Test is sure to be an exciting spectacle.
Pat Cummins’ Australia will be looking to defend the title they won back in 2023 by defeating India at the Oval, while Temba Bavuma’s South Africa will be attempting to win the Mace in their first appearance at a WTC Final.
After two years of fierce battle, South Africa enters the enticing match riding a seven-Test winning streak and in an unchallenged position at the top of the WTC standings.
In contrast, Australia has only dropped four Test matches this cycle and is still ranked first in the ICC Men’s Test Team rankings.
Australia qualified with a decisive six-wicket victory over India in Sydney earlier in the month, while the Proteas secured their place at the Ultimate Test in spectacular fashion by fending off a comeback from Pakistan to secure an exciting two-wicket victory in Centurion in December.
ICC Chief Commercial Officer, Anurag Dahiya, said: “We are delighted to make tickets available for the highly anticipated ICC World Test Championship Final at Lord’s. The ICC World Test Championship has produced a number of absorbing clashes over the past two years, and this Ultimate Test promises to provide more unrivalled drama on the biggest stage.
“The competition pairs the top team in the World Test Championship standings against the number one team in the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings, and I’d encourage fans to act quickly so that they don’t miss out on this mouthwatering contest.”
Rob Lynch, Interim Chief Executive & Secretary of MCC, said: “We are hugely honoured to be hosting the ICC World Test Championship Final. Lord’s is the perfect setting for the final of any international tournament, and this is set to be a fantastic contest between two teams who have a rich history at the Ground.
“I am sure that supporters of both nations will be eager to see their sides in action at the Home of Cricket and we look forward to hosting such a milestone clash between two heavyweights of Test cricket.”
South Africa captain, Temba Bavuma, said: “It’s been a month since we secured our spot in the ICC World Test Championship Final, and the support we’ve received from our fans has been incredible. There’s a real sense of anticipation and pride across South Africa as we look forward to playing against one of the best teams in the world.
“Facing Australia is always a fierce contest, and to do so at Lord’s – one of the most iconic and revered cricket venues in the world – makes the occasion even more special.
“We encourage fans to get their tickets and be part of what’s sure to be an unforgettable week of Test cricket.”
Australia captain Pat Cummins, said: “We are very keen to get back to Lord’s again – so many great memories. Our guys have worked hard to get to this point which has been a focus for us across the WTC cycle.
“Hopefully as many Aussies as possible will either come over or the ex-pats will get along in numbers to cheer us on. The crowds we got in Australia were incredible last summer so it would be nice to top it off in London if we can.”
