After the IPL 2025 Match 32, Yashasvi Jaiswal, the star opener for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), put an end to his disagreement with Mitchell Starc. The batter’s claim that Starc’s deliveries were too slow for him during their fight during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 quickly became the talk of the town and was widely reported by the media.
Similar sledging and returning it to the opposition was anticipated during their face-off in the IPL encounter between the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. But when the exciting battle ended, the left-handed pair was spotted having a light-hearted, grateful conversation. Jaiswal was seen applauding Starc for his flawless ball-handling against his Rajasthan Royals team.
“How are you, Legend? In the video uploaded by the Rajasthan Royals’ “X” handle following the exciting match at the Kotla, Jaiswal could be heard praising Mitchell Starc. “Very well done, very well bowled.”

Mitchell Starc and Jaiswal’s BGT conflict
The opening match of the five-match Test series against Australia was played at Optus Stadium in Perth. Jaiswal’s comment that Starc’s ball was coming too slowly went viral after the two players got into a heated disagreement during which Starc was insulting the youthful 23-year-old with bouncers.
The batsman had said to the bowler in the first Test, “You’re coming too slowly.”
With 391 runs at an average of 43.44, Jaiswal led the Indian squad in scoring during the BGT 2024–25. Additionally, Starc had a respectable series in which he played five games at home and claimed 18 wickets at an average of 28.66. Notably, Australia’s 3-1 victory in the series guaranteed them a spot in the World Test Championship final against South Africa, which will take place at London’s Lord’s Cricket Ground in June of this year.
