At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Yashasvi Jaiswal helped the Rajasthan Royals get off to a fast start in their chase for 189 by hitting two massive sixes to get the chase going against the Delhi Capitals. Jaiswal appeared to be in good form versus DC following a respectable showing in earlier games.
The ball was sent to the second tier of the stand after the Southpaw hit Mukesh Kumar over long-off. Later, in the third over of RR’s innings, he faced Mitchell Starc’s second over. Jaiswal pulled over a deep square leg for a huge six after hammering a short ball for four between point and cover. However, he scored 19 runs in that over alone after smashing another six over deep backwards square leg a few deliveries later. Many were reminded of Jaiswal’s exploits against Starc in the Perth Test when the pull fell into the second tier.

In just 5.3 overs, Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson, the Royals’ opening duo, sped to 61 runs.
With two boundaries, three sixes, and 31 off just 19 balls, Samson appeared to be in form. But due to an injury, the RR captain’s knock was abruptly stopped.
Samson was clearly in discomfort after striking a boundary and seemed to pull something in his side. Unable to go on, he gave the physio a signal and left, retiring with injuries. At a run rate of 10.50, RR reached 63/0 at the end of the sixth over, with Riyan Parag joining Jaiswal after Samson left the middle.
Due to late appearances by Axar Patel (34 off 14) and Tristan Stubbs (34* off 18), DC had previously scored 188/5. A strong hand up top was played by Abhishek Porel (49 off 37), while KL Rahul put up 38 before losing to Jofra Archer.
