Reigning champions Mumbai will not have their outstanding batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, which is a huge setback ahead of their match against Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy 2024–25 semi-final. To properly evaluate his condition and receive the required care, the southpaw will now travel to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence.

It’s unlikely that Mumbai would bolster their roster to replace Jaiswal. For the crucial match, the youthful kid was added as the 18th player by the Ajinkya Rahane-led team. Interestingly, the all-star team advanced to the semi-finals after defeating Haryana by 152 runs in the Kolkata quarterfinals. In the meantime, Vidarbha defeated Tamil Nadu by 198 runs to get to the semifinals.
Kerala and Gujarat will play each other in the other semi-final in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The official start date of the final is February 26.
