Yuzvendra Chahal, India’s best leg-spinner, reportedly made fun of Pakistani skipper Muhammad Rizwan while the Punjab Kings (PBKS) were preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
During an IPL 2025 mega-auction, Yuzvendra Chahal, who was purchased by PBKS for an incredible INR 18 crore, was spotted having a good time with his teammates.
The leg spinner imitated the Pakistan captain’s famous statement, “Oh Yes, its a two,” in a video that he posted on PBKS’ social media accounts. As he approached the crease, he also made fun of his partner Shashank Singh, saying, “Darr gye kya (Are you afraid of me)?” before mimicking Rizwan’s catchphrase.

The Rajasthan Royals decided not to keep the spin specialist after he had a run of outstanding IPL 2024 performances, taking 18 wickets in 15 games. As a result, Punjab was able to get his services for a high price during the mega-auction.
Since August 2023, when he last played for India in a Twenty20 International series against the West Indies, the leggie’s international career has been in decline. Despite being a member of India’s team for the 2024 T20 World Cup, he did not play a single match throughout the competition. The Haryana spinner has been playing domestic cricket and is hoping to make a big comeback. He has taken 10 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with a perfect strike rate of 15.00.
The 34-year-old will be motivated to produce game-winning performances for the Punjab-based team now that he has a new franchise. He will improve the team’s bowling arsenal, so they will be pleased to have him in the lineup. With 205 wickets in 160 games, Yuzvendra Chahal holds the record for most wickets taken in the competition’s history.
