Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has praised Kuldeep Yadav as the world’s best wrist spinner right now and expressed his joy over his achievement in international cricket. Once forming a potent spin tandem with Kuldeep, Chahal has stated that he is not very worried about rejoining the Indian team because it is beyond his control.
India’s preferred spin combination in limited-overs cricket for a number of years was Chahal and Kuldeep, also referred to as the “Kul-Cha” partnership. Because of their complementary on-field synergy, the Men in Blue were able to win important games. While Chahal last appeared for the national team in August 2023, Kuldeep is a consistent component of the ODI lineup. In the meantime, Chahal talked about India’s comeback and showered Kuldeep with plaudits ahead of the IPL 2025.
“What is out of my control is not something I consider. At the moment, Kuldeep is the world’s top wrist spinner. It is evident in his bowling style in both the Indian Premier League and international cricket, Chahal stated, as cited by the Hindustan Times.
I have enjoyed playing bowling with Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
The 34-year-old also talked about his friendship with the Chinaman and how their mutual trust both on and off the field allowed them to succeed consistently.
“I have enjoyed playing bowling with Kuldeep.” We have a strong bond both on and off the field. Since our approaches to bowling are similar, it was enjoyable to bowl with him. We both like to assault. It was partnered bowling, too. The other of us would tighten it from the opposite end when we went for runs. He continued, “We always had faith in one another.
They became one of India’s most successful match-winning duos, taking 130 wickets between them in their 37 ODI matches. The club management has, however, depended more on Kuldeep in recent years, giving Chahal fewer opportunities.
India’s 2024 T20 World Cup winning side included the Haryana spinner, but they didn’t use him in any games since they preferred other spinners. Kuldeep, on the other hand, was instrumental in India’s recent Champions Trophy 2025 victories and T20 World Cup championship.
Next up for the pair is the 2025 Indian Premier League. Chahal, who cost an incredible INR 18 crore to acquire, will play for the Punjab Kings this season. However, for INR 13.25 crore, the Delhi Capitals kept Kuldeep.
