Yuzvendra Chahal watched the Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand from the stands. But his presence wasn’t exactly the high point. Instead, it was the woman he was with who caused a lot of commotion in the Indian cricket community.
During the first innings of the match, the cameras of the broadcasters panned in on Yuzvendra Chahal during one of the overs.
The woman was identified as RJ Mahvash, a 28-year-old YouTuber. This coincides with reports that he and choreographer Dhanashree Verma are no longer together. Numerous reports of the same have surfaced in the media over the past few months. But as of yet, no party has provided any confirmation.

At last year’s super auction in Jeddah, Chahal was purchased by Punjab Kings for the 2025 Indian Premier League for an incredible INR 18 crore. The last time Chahal played for India was in August 2023. He has not been in contention with regard to any of the white-ball settings since. He was not given any consideration for the 2023 Cricket World Cup or the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, got off to a great start in the run-chase. In just the ninth over, India’s squad reached fifty runs. As India attempts to win the Champions Trophy for the third time, Rohit, who appears ready for a big one, scored the most of the goals.
In their 50 overs earlier in the day, the Men in Blue held New Zealand to a par total of 251/7. Ravindra Jadeja took just 30 runs in his 10-over performance, while Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav both claimed two wickets. Michael Bracewell and Daryl Mitchell were the Kiwis’ best scorers, with respective scores of 53* (40) and 63 (101).
