Blessing Muzarabani was the standout player for Zimbabwe, taking nine wickets overall, including three in the first innings and six in the second, to ensure his team had a chaseable score at the end of a game that was dominated primarily by bowlers. In the game, his overall stats were 9/122.
The all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh was the outstanding batsman on the losing team, taking five wickets in each of the two innings. The hosts may have been able to stay in the game thanks to this 10-wicket haul, but it was all for nothing because the other bowlers in the second innings did not help him and did not make any significant progress.
