Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum teach me as much as cricket about life: Bill Leach

“In a sense, I believe Ben Stokes and Baz [McCullum] teach me as much about life as cricket. How I want to conduct my life and how I want to view various situations, while being a bit more optimistic. I have always been someone who worries and thinks negatively, but they bring out this positive aspect of me. I feel extremely fortunate to have had that,” he continued.

Leach also discussed the possibility of Australia attacking him in the impending series. Regarding their strategy, I believe that the same event will occur once more. I have more international bowling experience, so I can handle it. Since then, I have played in series employing a similar strategy. They perceive an opportunity to dismiss a spinner due to our formidable seam attack. And Stokesy has exposed me on purpose to a variety of circumstances,” he said.

“What I have proven to myself is that if I am in control of a situation, not surprised by it, and aware that they will attack me, and if I bowl well, I have an excellent chance of achieving a breakthrough. Once one breakthrough is achieved, the prospect for another arises,” he added.
