In a thrilling victory over the Delhi Capitals on Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the WPL 2024.
Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricketer, proposed that captain Smriti Mandhana visit the RCB men’s team camp prior to the 2024 Indian Premier League and give them a motivational speech, similar to what Virat Kohli did for the women’s team the previous year.
The proposition is being made at the same time as RCB’s men’s side, despite their fame and star-studded lineup across 16 seasons, is still vying for their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
Smriti Mandhana: “Virat Kohli has accomplished a lot.”
After the match, the well-known cricket player, who had returned to India after the birth of his second child, sent the women’s team a video message congratulating them on winning the WPL 2024. In addition to dancing with joy, Kohli was seen praising the entire team.
The RCB captain responded cleverly when Chopra teasingly inquired as to whether Mandhana would “return the favour” by going to the men’s squad and giving them a pep talk. Mandhana said that she needed to exercise caution in her response, even though she had laughed it off at first.
“Virat Kohli has accomplished a great deal. He is a legend in the game, having taken home both the Champions Trophy and the World Cup. In my opinion, franchisee cricket is largely dependent on luck; perhaps RCB’s good fortune has begun with this Cup. “You never know,” Mandhana stated in a Jio Cinema conversation.
The way Smriti Mandhana handles controversial statements is very admirable. Even if Akash Chopra meant it as a joke, she gave her answer so gracefully. pic.twitter.com/vsB3vUsLkd

For RCB, the IPL 2024 will mark their 17th try to lift the illusive title. They have reached the finals three times so far, in 2009, 2011 and 2016, but have failed each time. In addition, the Mumbai Indians defeated RCB in the 2011 Champions League T20 final.
In anticipation of the 17th IPL season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Chennai Super Kings in the opening match on March 22. On Tuesday, March 19, the men’s team’s RCB Unbox 2024 event in Bengaluru will feature the presence of the RCB ladies.
