So, that's it from this nerve-wracking game where Bangladesh hold onto their nerves and seal the series 2-0 with a game left. That game will be played on Friday, 6th March 2020 in Sylhet. Tamim Iqbal is named Man of the Match for his brilliant century. Iqbal says that credit for his performance goes to the team management as they kept trusting him and told him that it will come good soon. Tells that the wicket was really good for batting but in the second innings, it became even better. Feels that he got a few bad balls on his pads and scored a few boundaries early on. Praises Liton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mahmudullah for their performance.
Mashrafe Mortaza, Bangladesh skipper, says that they held onto their nerves to win the game. On brilliant ton of Tamim, Mortaza says that he is a special player. Tells that he was really happy seeing him bat the way he did. Praises the performance from Rahim and Mahmudullah 's performance. On their bowling, the Bangladeshi skipper feels that the wicket was really good for batting. Adds that bowling was difficult but it was not too bad. Sean Williams, Zimbabwe skipper, says that after coming from a defeat in the 1st ODI and almost winning this game is really positive and they will try to win the last one. Earlier in the day, Bangladesh ended with a huge total of 322/8, courtesy of a special knock from Tamim Iqbal. His 158 along with supports from Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Mohammad Mithun helped them amass the total. It was a tough day for the bowlers in general and the Zimbabwe bowlers suffered too. Bangladesh almost shot themselves on the foot with the ball but managed to survive a big upset. The bowlers started off well and were good in the middle too but they were not able to pick up wickets. They lost the plot towards the end and almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Shafiul Islam and the returning Al-Amin Hossain had a nightmare towards the end. Though the latter managed to hold his nerves in the final over, he had a torrid time and went for 85 in his 10 overs. Shafiul Islam, on the other hand, conceded 76 from 9 overs. Taijul Islam was the star with the ball as he ended up with a 3-wicket haul. The win was made difficult by the fielders as the hosts were sloppy in the field and dropped plenty of chances that almost came back to bite them. In the end, the home team held their nerves and got over the finish line.
Chasing 323, Zimbabwe lost Regis Chakabva and Brendan Taylor early. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe though kept his end intact and built partnerships. The tourists were lagging behind the required run rate but fifties from Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Wesley Madhevere and Sikandar Raza gave them hope and kept them in the hunt but when they lost Raza they had just 3 wickets in hand and still needed 98 in 43. It looked done and dusted but Donald Tiripano had other ideas. He came out with intent and went berserk. He put up a quickfire stand of 80 off just 45 balls with Mutombodzi. They dragged the game till the last ball but Tiripano's heroics was not enough to get his side over the line.
WOW! What a game of cricket we have witnessed! They say it is not over until it's over and Zimbabwe just proved that. They couldn't get over the line but they sent chills across Bangladesh with their spirited fight. A great, great innings with the bat from Donald Tiripano. Yes, he ends up on the wrong side of the result but he has shown the passion, the courage and the desire that these Zimbabwe players had.

The hero of the first innings for the hosts, Tamim Iqbal is caught down for a quick chat. Tamim says that he has been batting well but he couldn't get the bigger scores. Thanks the team management and his teammates for the support. Adds that he was hitting the ball really well in the nets and he knew that it was just a matter of time. Feels that he got lucky early on as he got a few balls on his pads and that helped him. Reveals that they have set the target of having at least one of the top 5 should bat till the 40th over. Feels that Zimbabwe have quality batters in the side and they will have to bowl in good areas to win this game.
It was yet another sorry show from the Zimbabwean bowlers. They failed to get wickets in the crucial middle overs and looked out of ideas and were taken aback by Tamim's class. They did manage to pull things back towards the end and restored some parity by restricting Bangladesh under 330 when 340 looked on course. 7 bowlers were used in total but it was a difficult day for all of them. Donald Tiripano and Carl Mumba picked up 2 wickets each, while Wesley Madhevere and Charlton Tshuma had one apiece but they were all expensive.
After opting to bat, it was the Tamim Iqbal show. Bangladesh have missed the heroics of their talisman for sometime but he came back and looked like his old self. Tamim found his vigor, dominance and class and his superb innings of 158 ended his century drought and helped the hosts by leaps and bounds. His knock along with the supporting roles from Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah took the game to Bangladesh and helped the Bangla Tigers reach 322.
A good comeback from Zimbabwe in the final 5 overs and they have managed to restrict Bangladesh under 325 when 350 looked inevitable at one stage. Without a shadow of a doubt though it will be Bangladesh who will be the happier of the two sides heading into the break.

Mashrafe Mortaza, the Bangladeshi skipper, says that the pitch is looking similar like the last game and there won't be too much dew and hence the decision of batting first. Tells that there are a couple of changes in the team. Shafiul Islam replaces Mohammad Saifuddin and Al-Amin Hossain replaces Mustafizur Rahman.
Pitch report - Tino Mawoyo is down for the pitch report. Tells that there is a lot of grass on the wicket which was not the case in the last game. Hello and welcome to the 2nd ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in Sylhet. After thumping the visitors by 169 runs in the opening game, Bangladesh would look to seal the deal with one match still to go. It was a powerful batting performance which was led by Liton Das' top knock. After posting a massive target, the Bangladeshi bowlers bundled out the visitors for just 150.
