Northern Warriors needed an early wicket but Saqib Mahmood got put away for 4 boundaries in his first over and after that, the Warriors just didn't have a comeback. They had already let a strong start with the bat slip as only skipper, Colin Munro managed to do a bit of damage and then with the ball, their pacers just weren't effective even though. Trent Boult and Uzair Khan bowled a couple of tight overs. And when the lone spinner came, Zazai took him down for a mammoth 30 runs and it all got over too quickly for the Warriors.
After keeping the Warriors down to under 110 runs, thanks to a solid bowling performance, the opening duo of Mohammad Shahzad and Hazratullah Zazai rolled back the years and there were shades of the two opening the batting for Afghanistan a few years back. Shahzad was at his entertaining best as Zazai took a bit of time and hammered 5 sixes to a hapless Ankur Sangwan in the space of 6 deliveries. The pair finished unbeaten with twin half-centuries and helped the Tigers climb up the table.
Another win for the chasing team and Bangla Tigers have almost replicated what UP Nawabs did in the first game of the day but have done it with even more comfort as their openers have simply put on a show. A first-ever 10-wicket win for them and what a win this is!
