Commentry
Right then, 105 is what Deccan Gladiators need to seal the win and take the crown of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2024. Morrisville Samp Army managed to gun down 90 runs in Qualifier 2 but they now have to defend and their bowlers will be crucial. Given it is National Day in the United Arab Emirates, there is some program planned in the innings break. The chase though will start soon, so, stay tuned and it should be an exciting one.
Deccan Gladiators will feel they have done more than a decent job with the ball here, restricting the opposition to a slightly below-par total. The fiery pace duo of Richard Gleeson and Anrich Nortje were on song picking up three wickets between them and conceding just 30 runs in their total 4 overs. Gleeson also went on to become the leading wicket-taker with his double scalps and Ibrar Ahmed was the only one who had an off day at the office and it is now up to their batters to get the job done.
Morrisville Samp Army will feel they have left a few runs out there once again and from 76/3 in 6.3 overs, they have ended up with just 104 runs. After the early loss of Sharjeel, Faf du Plessis and Charith Asalanka started to fire but Asalanka soon got out. It was Andries Gous once again who kept the tempo up and added 37 runs along with Faf. The duo fell within the space of an over and the Samp Army simply didn't recover from that all too well. Karim Janat though hit a couple of lusty blows in the final over to take them over the three-figure mark.
An innings that showed plenty of promise but never really got any real consistency in it. For a couple of overs in the middle phase, Morrisville Samp Army seemed like they would go on to put a big score on board but Deccan Gladiators pulled things back well. However, that final over will give the Samp Army some momentum heading into the interval.

The fielder in the deep keeps his eyes locked on the ball, feels he has a chance and jumps behind but the ball is well over his reach.
