Further says that more than the bowling their fielding let them down. Further adds onto say that they could not execute their plans too and that cost them the game. Further says that they will grow as a unit and work on the flaws. Mentions that the pitch was good to bat but they failed to capitalize on it. Also says that poor shot selection let them down.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH, Heather Knight says that she will be disappointed to leave Canberra. Further says that she thought that one of the spinners would get the player of the match. Mentions that she enjoys batting up the order and loves to lay a platform for the team. Also says that she just thinks of staying till the end.
England on the other hand, bowled well. They kept it nice and tight, attacked the stumps and managed to pick wickets when needed. Shrubsole and Glenn were the pick as the two took three each. Brunt and Eccleston also finished with two. Overall, a complete performance by England.
A very convincing win for England! Pakistan just looked off color tonight. They were poor with the ball which saw England end with an above par total and in the chase they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Their top order failed to make an impact. Just the one batter managed to cross the 20-run mark, Riaz, who was the top scorer, however, the task for her was a little too much. Her innings though gave some respectability to the Pakistan total.

We are back for the chase. The two Pakistan openers Javeria Khan and Muneeba Ali walk in to start the reply. England players are also on the field and ready for the action with the ball. Anya Shrubsole to begin with the ball.
England on the other hand, bowled well. They kept it nice and tight, attacked the stumps and managed to pick wickets when needed. Shrubsole and Glenn were the pick as the two took three each. Brunt and Ecclestone also finished with two. Overall, a complete performance by England.
The target is a tough one, Pakistan will have to bat really well if they are to chase this down. The ball might just skid on under lights but they will still need to bat brilliantly. England on the other hand will back themselves to defend this. Stay tuned for the second essay.
The Pakistan bowling was good to begin with and good to end with but the middle overs could cost them the game. Their spinners, who they rely on, failed to pick wickets and also let the batters score freely. Aiman Anwer and Diana Baig were the pick for them but overall it is not a performance they will be happy with.
End of a very good batting performance from England! After being inserted, they lost Jones early but Wyatt and Sciver steadied the ship. After the dismissal of Wyatt, Knight and Sciver got things going. However, when Sciver fell, Pakistan did have a chance to get back into the game but Knight ensured that did not happen. She built a good stand with Wilson and also got up her fifty. At one stage, something above 160 looked possible but the last 8 balls did not see a boundary coming and hence, they were restricted below that. Still though, they will be the happier side of the two at the moment.
