Further says that Weeraratne and Jayasinghe batted very well and kept Sri Lanka in with a chance. Dilshan also says that it has been a good tournament and praises the facilities in the stadium. Mentions that Sri Lankan fans will be disappointed but they have played well throughout the tournament.
The third person in a row to be interviewed is Subramaniam Badrinath! He says that it was a good game of cricket. Time for some interviews now! First it will be Vinay Kumar! He says that he is happy with the team's performance. Adds that he was happy that he took that difficult catch of Weeraratne. Mentions that Gony bowled very well and today was not his day with the ball. Further says that they will lavishly celebrate this victory.
Earlier in the day, India Legends ended up on a good total, after their top order could not deliver and then, on the backing off some fine hitting due to Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh, both of them combined forces and added 85 runs to their stand and finished with 181 to their name. Talking about their counterparts, there is a quote which talks perfectly about their bowling show - What you begin, you must finish. Something that they couldn't do. They started well with the ball, but lost their way and let the batters of India Legends dictate terms. In the end, some good work by the India Legends, with the ball and the bat, saw them become the champions!
With the ball, the India Legends started on the back foot as the duo of Jayasuriya and Dilshan were going about their business. But once Dilshan fell, the door opened slightly and India Legends barged in. They kept looking for the wickets and found them at regular intervals. Gony was the pick of the lot as he ended with figures of 4-0-24-1. The Pathan brothers were on song too as they both snared 2 wickets each.
Starting off the chase, Sri Lanka Legends needed a good start and that is something that they got. The duo of Dilshan and Jayasuriya stitched a 62-run stand, very quickly. But once Dilshan fell, their run chase just went pear-shaped. They kept trying to add the runs but apart from a few boundaries, every now and then, they were not able to accelerate and add the runs quickly. That is until Chinthaka Jayasinghe and Kaushalya Weeraratne were out in the middle. They played slowly at the start, but when it was time to go big, they decided to amp it up. They kept playing their strokes and in the penultimate over, Weeraratne holed out looking for a biggie. After that, it was always going to be hard and the India Legends finished things off nicely.
Well, there it is! India Legends are the champions of the Road Safety T20 World Series, 2020/21! They have been the most consistent team in this competition and it is only fair that they have the title in their grasp, at the end of the tournament. Fireworks in Raipur! Take a bow, India Legends!

OUT! CAUGHT! THERE IT IS! Munaf ends the match with a wicket! Full on middle, Maharoof lofts it over mid on but does not get the distance on it. It goes towards long on where Vinay Kumar takes a comfortable catch. INDIA LEGENDS WIN BY 14 RUNS!

OUT! RUN OUT! Jayasinghe departs! Full on middle, Jayasinghe drills it towards long on for a single. They go for the second. Vinay Kumar throws it at the keeper's end where Naman Ojha takes the bails off. Replays show that Jayasinghe is nowhere in the frame.

SIX! That is hammered! Full on middle, Jayasinghe lofts it over long on for a maximum. The umpires want to check if this was a four or a six, as it seemed close and replays show that it was biggie. Just the start that Sri Lanka Legends would have wanted.
