She acknowledges that her team did not start as they wanted but showed resilience and fought hard. Reflecting on her innings, she admits it wasn’t easy when she walked in to bat. She focused on rotating the strike and, with Nat Sciver-Brunt at the other end, aimed to keep things simple and take calculated risks. She feels 150 was a decent total, but in pressure games, it often feels like chasing 180. She gives full credit to the bowlers for delivering crucial breakthroughs in the Powerplay, which ultimately won them the game. She also highlights the importance of one-on-one meetings within the team to provide better clarity on individual roles

It's time for Delhi's skipper, Meg Lanning, to collect the Runner-up trophy. Meg says they had another good season but unfortunately couldn't get over the line again and despite the disappointment, Mumbai played really well and congratulates them. Adds that 150 was a good total to chase, but they didn't quite get it together in the chase but she is very proud of the team. Mentions that there is absolutely no substitute for performing well on the day and Mumbai did that and deservedly won the game. States that they haven't been able to put up strong performances in the final and they had put themselves in good positions but ended on the wrong side and that's how this game can be at times.

Natalie Sciver-Brunt is awarded the ORANGE CAP for finishing as the highest scorer this season with 523 runs and is also named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. Natalie calls it a fantastic season for her in the Women's T20 League. Amelia Kerr has been crowned the highest wicket-taker of the season, earning the prestigious PURPLE CAP with a stunning tally of 18 wickets.

Earlier in the game, Delhi had Mumbai on the ropes, applying relentless pressure and choking the scoring rate, leaving Mumbai struggling at 28/2 at the end of 8 overs. The bowlers gave nothing away, setting the tone for a dominant start. However, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur stepped up when it mattered most, launching a counterattack alongside Natalie Sciver-Brunt, taking Mumbai from a position of distress to one of promise. Just when Mumbai looked set to push for a big total, N Charani struck to break the threatening 89-run stand, sparking a late collapse. Delhi seized the moment, picking up wickets in quick succession to restrict Mumbai to a below-par total of 149. For Delhi, Marizanne Kapp was sensational, setting the tone with an outstanding spell of 4 overs, conceding just 11 runs and claiming two crucial wickets.

Just when Delhi looked back in the hunt, Natalie Sciver-Brunt delivered when it mattered most, breaking the crucial partnership between Kapp and young Niki Prasad at the perfect moment. From there, the task became too steep, leaving Niki Prasad with an uphill battle alongside the tail. Mumbai’s bowling unit executed flawlessly under pressure and Natalie Sciver-Brunt starred with three wickets. Amelia Kerr chipped in with two while the rest of the attack kept it tight, each taking a wicket apiece.

Mumbai sensed an opportunity and turned the screws, maintaining relentless pressure. They didn’t let any batter settle, reducing Delhi to 66/5 with the crucial wicket of Jemimah Rodrigues, who had been holding the innings together. At that stage, Mumbai looked in complete control. But then came a spirited fightback from Marizanne Kapp, who stood tall under pressure, finding crucial boundaries at just the right moments.
