That's all from this one-sided affair. On Tuesday, 13th of September, it's going to be England Legends up against Sri Lanka Legends in Match 5 of this edition. The game will begin at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Johan Botha is the Player of the Match. He says that the lesson from the first game was that they bowled too fuller in that game and they corrected their lengths in this one and that worked. Adds that the guys have not played much cricket, but everyone played very well today, including the batters at the top order. Further says that they can take this momentum into the next game and put up more good performances.
Jonty Rhodes the skipper of South Africa Legends says that they did learn some hard lessons in the previous game. Adds that the pitch changed a bit after their first game, in this game there was some more turn on offer. Further says that this pitch kept a bit lower and it was also on the slower side. Adds that after the time-out they discussed finishing the game quickly.
Ross Taylor the skipper of New Zealand Legends says that it was a tough wicket. He praises Johan Botha for his performance and admits that a target of 100 was never going to be enough. Mentions that some of the players came in a couple of days ago and they didn't have proper training sessions. Tells that Shane Bond was really quick and that shows the quality that he still possesses. Ends by saying that they will take a nice break to recharge their bodies and come back in the next game
Stay tuned for the presentation...
It was a tough day in the office for New Zealand Legends! They put on a dismal batting show after winning the toss as they were bundled out for only 99. Dean Brownlie scored 48 runs and ended as their highest run-getter. They were completely demolished by the spinners of South Africa Legends. Johan Botha grabbed 4 in his spell, while Thandi Tshabalala took 3 wickets in his full quota of overs.
At the halfway stage, we thought the chase would be a little tricky, considering the amount of purchase the spinners got from this wicket. But the South Africa Legends batters looked at ease while batting and have got over the line quite convincingly. They put on an opening stand of 34 runs before Morne van Wyk perished. Andrew Puttick and Alviro Petersen then took their side home without any further hiccups. Andrew Puttick notched up his half-ton while Alviro Petersen scored a solid 29. We can't really blame the bowlers of New Zealand Legends here, they had very little to fight with. The only positive for New Zealand Legends to take from this game would be, the bowling of Shane Bond. On a wicket that was assisting the spinners, Shane Bond caused a lot of trouble. He will play a key role in their upcoming games.
It's been a walk in the park for South Africa Legends! Well, they were chasing a below-par target of 100 and a victory for them was surely on the cards. But it's been an excellent turnaround from them. After losing their first game by over 60 runs they have won this game with 9 wickets in hand and with 39 balls to spare. While New Zealand Legends have lost their opening encounter on their debut in this tournament. They have been completely outplayed here.

SIX! Andrew Puttick finishes things off in style! He gets to his FIFTY as well! Broom floats this up, full and on middle, Andrew Puttick gets into position early and lofts it over the deep mid-wicket fence for another biggie. This has been a wonderful innings from him and it is fitting that he hits the winnnig runs. South Africa Legends WIN BY 9 WICKETS.

A fuller ball now, spinning in, around middle and leg. Andrew Puttick gets down on his knee and sweeps it towards deep square leg for a single. That brings up the 50-run stand between these two.

Another fuller ball, around middle, slower through the air as well. Andrew Puttick once again shimmies down the pitch and drills this one straight down the ground. The fielder from long on runs across, slides and keeps the ball away from the ropes. Two taken.
