UPDATE - 4.30 am GMT - It is a foggy morning in Multan once again and we won't start on time. A lot of activity happening near the pitch. Not that foggy as compared to Day 1 but it will be a delayed start. Stay tuned. Okay, the play will start at 5 am GMT...
The partnership between Shakeel and Rizwan flourished at the right time for the hosts. After opting to bat first on a rank turner, Pakistan were reduced to 46/4 surprisingly by a pacer though and were in all sorts of trouble. Their big guns failed to make an impact and a partnership was need of the hour for the hosts. West Indies used different spin options to test Rizwan and Shakeel but the duo showed a lot of intent and carried the scored beautifully once getting used to the conditions. Spin is going to dominate once again on Day 2. We feel it might get more tougher to bat. Can Shakeel and Rizwan apply themselves and carry on the good wicket or West Indies will dominate the first hour. Stay tuned to find out.
...Day 2, Session 1...
A partnership was need of the hour and Shakeel and Rizwan joined hands to end the second session without losing anymore wickets. West Indies ended the session on top but Pakistan came in with lot of intent as both scored plenty of boundaries and reached their respective fifties. Pakistan worked hard to be in this position and will be happy with how things have ended. They'll hope these two continue in the same manner on Day 2 as we don't think anymore play is expected today. And STUMPS it is as well! That is all from today. Join us for the action of Day 2 at 4 am GMT. Half an hour early start. Join us earlier for the build up. Till then, cheers!
