Richie Berrington, the Scotland skipper is the Player of the Match. He says it is pleasing to contribute to the team and get to a good score. Adds UAE bowlers bowled well by taking quick wickets but Leask and Watt played well to take the pressure off in the fag end. Reckons he was trying to time well and run between the wickets more. Shares they have to give their best and execute their skills.
United Arab Emirates in reply succumbed to pressure as they lost three in no time. Muhammad Waseem got things going for a period but once he was gone, and a couple of wickets put United Arab Emirates in a lot of trouble. The hopes were alive when Basil Hameed and Karthik Meiyappan were batting but it was just a very big ask from them. Credit to the way Scotland bowled. Safyaan Sharif ended with four while Chris Sole with three wickets.
An excellent bowling performance by Scotland and them means two wins in two for them. United Arab Emirates will have to wait a bit longer to open their account. It did feel like United Arab Emirates have given 50-60 runs extra on this pitch. A target around 200 would have given them some hope to chase it down but the ton from Richie Berrington and a couple of solid knocks from Michael Leask and Mark Watt helped Scotland get over 280.
