Right then, that is it from this game. A narrow win for the Brisbane Heat as they stay undefeated. The BBL action continues as there is a game going on between Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers. Do switch tabs and enjoy the coverage of that game. Cheers!
Player of the match is Paul Walter.
Earlier in the game, the Sixers scored over 140 runs, but they struggled to build momentum due to a lack of support for key batters like Philippe and Edwards. The Heat's bowling was commendable, as they adapted to the slow pitch and consistently took wickets to keep the Sixers in check. The spinners, in particular, performed well for them.
The Sydney Sixers bowled really well and gave the Heat a tough fight! They lost by a narrow margin. Jack Edwards, Sean Abbott, Steve O'Keefe, and Ben Dwarshuis picked up a wicket each, while Todd Murphy and Tom Curran were wicketless. They will look to bounce back and come back strong in their following game.
A hard-fought win for the Brisbane Heat! They started off well but lost Munro early on. Josh Brown kept on going alongside Nathan McSweeney. Once Brown fell after his 43, Renshaw and Billings soon followed suit. We had a slight delay after that, when Brisbane Heat were just behind by two runs. Once they came back on, Walter and McSweeney made sure they were ahead of the DLS par score.
Oh no! The rain starts again and the covers are on in no time! The Brisbane Heat are now well ahead of the game with a DLS Par score which at the moment is 97. And thats it! The match has been CALLED OFF and the Brisbane Heat win by 3 runs (D/L method). They stay undefeated!
