Presentation Time...
Earlier in the game, Ajman Bolts posted a modest total with only Shevon Daniel and Ravi Bopara contributing some valuable runs. Mark Adair, Zeeshan Naseer, and Kadeem Alleyne all picked up two wickets each for Team Abu Dhabi while Rumman Raees and Kyle Mayers chipped in with one to cap off an incredible bowling effort. While chasing, it was the Salt show, and for the Bolts Jason Behrendorff picked up the only wicket that fell. Also, Shevon Daniel did drop Salt on 2, otherwise, things could have been a bit different.
Talking about the chase, well there is only one player to talk about and that is Phil Salt. He was on fire right from the start and did not want to take long to finish the job. He remained unbeaten on 53 off just 19 balls which included a whopping six maximums, Paul Stirling did get out for a golden duck, but Jonny Bairstow supported his fellow countrymen nicely and hit the winning runs with more than four overs to spare. This is also the fourth time in Abu Dhabi T10 League's history that a team has chased a total down with nine wickets in hand.
Now, this is called domination! Team Abu Dhabi start their campaign by absolutely brushing aside the debutants of the league, Ajman Bolts. From winning the toss to the end of the game, they were on top and never really allowed the Bolts to bother them too much.
