Dhruv Parashar wins the Man of the Match award.
Earlier in the innings, after electing to bat first, Ireland batters could not justify their skipper's decision and were bundled out for 122 runs. Later, United Arab Emirates Under-19 chased the target down convincingly to win the game by 8 wickets.
Ireland U-19 were behind in the chase from the first ball itself. They picked up the first wicket on 41 runs but since then they erred their lines and lengths and UAE batters were on their toes to pounce on it. But to be honest, the Irish bowlers had nothing to fight for.
A top-class performance by UAE. They walk out of the campaign with their head held high. UAE win their first silverware in an ICC event. This is a huge achievement for UAE cricket. UAE were off to a flying start, thanks to their opening pair. Even though Dhruv Parashar slipped out early, Kai Smith grew into his innings and a flourished stand with Punya Mehra helped them to get closer to the finish line. In the end, Mehra and Keswani applied the finishing touches to become the plate champions.
All the United Arab Emirates Under-19 players sprint out onto the pitch. Delight in the UAE camp. This chase was a one-way traffic, to be honest. UAE never gave a sniff to Ireland and in the end, have come out on top quite convincingly. All the United Arab Emirates Under-19 players line-up and celebrate by doing push-ups first, followed by some victory dance.
