Chittagong Kings wanted the victory more than Fortune Barishal and it was visible throughout the game. Parvez Hossain Emon in his aggressive innings gave Chittagong Kings a perfect start. Khawaja Nafay and Graham Clark got a start as well but it was Haider Ali and Shamim Hossain's fine cameo that made a massive difference. They helped to get the score over 200 against the team who love to chase. However, Chittagong Kings bowled well throughout to get the job done. Binura Fernando and Shoriful Islam used the new ball perfectly to get Fortune Barishal under the pump straight away.
Good effort from Fortune Barishal but in vain. For the first time in a while this season, they fail to chase down a score. It needed something special though to get the job done. Fortune Barishal lost the openers in a flash but got the innings back on track through Malan and Rahim's partnership. Malan scored a fine fifty but fell at a vital point. Mahmudullah survived twice but Fortune Barishal were almost behind the 8-ball and it was always going to be difficult.
